COVID-19 and the Hospitality industry

The Hospitality industry has been heavily impacted by COVID-19. Examining the economic impact of the coronavirus on the Hospitality industry, a report by industry research company IBISWorld[1] indicates that the ‘accommodation’ and ‘food & beverage services’ subdivisions have been hit the hardest.

Employee sentiment towards vaccinations

ELMO’s quarterly Employee Sentiment Index revealed the proportion of workers uncomfortable working alongside unvaccinated colleagues in the Hospitality industry is 60%. In addition, vaccination passports have also been welcomed by 77% of hospitality workers in Australia.[2]
