ELMO sharpens AI workforce strategy with repositioning as The Complete AI Workforce Platform™

The HR technology company launches its first major brand evolution since 2023 — and advances toward becoming the first ANZ-headquartered HR platform to achieve ISO/IEC 42001 AI governance certification

ELMO sharpens AI workforce strategy with repositioning as The Complete AI Workforce Platform™

ELMO Software has sharpened its positioning as The Complete AI Workforce Platform™, unveiling a refreshed visual identity and platform narrative designed to reflect the growing convergence of AI, workforce strategy and business performance across Australian and New Zealand organisations.

The repositioning marks ELMO’s first major brand evolution since 2023 and reflects the company’s focus on helping organisations move beyond fragmented systems and disconnected workforce data toward a more unified, AI-enabled approach to workforce management.

At the centre of the refresh is a new visual identity developed in partnership with strategic design and brand agency Fates Design. The updated logo moves away from the modular representation of ELMO’s earlier platform architecture toward a more connected and intelligent system spanning HR, payroll, rostering, learning and workforce planning.

This announcement comes as AI adoption across Australian workplaces continues to accelerate. ELMO’s 2026 HR Industry Benchmark Report found four in five Australian organisations are already using AI, while 93 per cent of HR teams are using AI for HR tasks.

Yet only one in four (26 per cent) HR leaders say they feel fully prepared to meet leadership’s AI expectations. The research also found just 23 per cent of Australian organisations have all HR data connected in one platform, reinforcing the challenge many organisations face in turning AI adoption into meaningful workforce outcomes.

“What we’re seeing across the market is that AI adoption is accelerating much faster than organisational readiness,”

Mei Koon, Chief Marketing Officer at ELMO.

“Executives are increasingly mandating AI-driven productivity and cost outcomes – sometimes after only spending a handful of hours with the tools themselves – while many teams are still trying to define what effective AI transformation actually looks like in practice.

“That’s what sits behind this repositioning. ELMO has evolved beyond traditional HR software into a platform designed to help organisations turn workforce insight into meaningful action.

“The refreshed identity is an important expression of that evolution and where we’re heading as a business.”

Koon said broader conversations happening across marketing and executive leadership teams reinforced how early many organisations still are in their AI maturity journey.

“Adoption is not the same thing as effectiveness,” Koon continued. “What we’re hearing consistently across senior marketing and executive teams reinforces this — at a recent industry roundtable, only around one in four leaders said they had a clear, documented AI strategy in place.

When organisations don’t create a clear enough path for AI adoption, people create their own. That’s where shadow AI starts to emerge, and governance becomes much harder to recover.”

Central to ELMO’s AI leadership position is a governance commitment that sets it apart in the ANZ market. ELMO is on track to become the first ANZ-headquartered HR platform to achieve ISO/IEC 42001 certification for its AI Management System, with formal certification expected in the coming weeks.

ELMO says the framework reinforces its commitment to responsible AI governance, operational transparency and secure AI development as organisations increasingly seek trusted partners to support workforce transformation.

The repositioning is supported by a broader brand and go-to-market strategy, including:

  • A major ANZ customer roadshow series focused on AI readiness and workforce transformation
  • Proprietary HR and workforce research through the annual HR Industry Benchmark Report and employee sentiment indexes
  • Increased thought leadership across owned and earned media channels
  • Expanded advertising and brand presence across the HR, payroll and business technology sectors
  • Ongoing investment in product innovation, including AI-powered insights and career development capabilities

ELMO’s new brand identity and positioning will roll out across all company channels and customer experiences from June 2026.
