Closing the Gap: Your Guide to Equitable Remuneration

Remuneration review

Australia’s end of financial year is creeping closer, and with it, the prospect of fresh budgets, strategic planning, and for many, annual remuneration reviews. As organisations plan ahead for the next 12 months, one factor that shouldn’t be overlooked is gender pay equity.

Closing the pay gap

According to the most recent data from the Workplace Gender Equality Agency, Australia’s gender pay gap is 13.8%[1]. On average, women earn $255.30 less than men per week, which adds up to more than $13,000 per year.

Where to start

It goes without saying that eliminating the gender pay gap is an admirable goal. For leaders who have not yet begun the journey to closing their gaps, now is the time to start.

This whitepaper will discuss:

  • The link between equal pay and commercial success
  • The various pay gap metrics
  • How to embed equity into your remuneration policy and reviews
